Ronni Morten Hansen

We continue our interview with Ronni, Material Controller at BHS Logistics, with whom we previously had an interesting conversation on LinkedIn. Now, you have the opportunity to delve even deeper into his experiences and perspectives on life in the transportation industry.

What is the most exciting part of working in the transport industry?

The transport industry is exciting because it is unpredictable. Every day brings new challenges, and you constantly have to adapt to changing conditions and timelines. This dynamic – having to react quickly to situations and find solutions – is something I really thrive on. It’s never boring, and it keeps me engaged all the time.

What challenge have you recently solved that you’re particularly proud of?

I don’t have one specific task that stands out, but I’m very proud of the overall effort in the Material department and our Control Tower. We work as a close-knit team and handle both large and small tasks together. The way we solve problems and ensure things run smoothly is something I’m proud of being a part of.

How does your work contribute to the overall value chain at BHS Logistics?

My work is a key component in the overall value chain. I supply the equipment that our planners use to carry out their transport tasks. Once the goods are on the road, we ensure they reach the customer on time and in the right condition. In this way, we help ensure that everything runs as planned from start to finish.

Why did you choose to work in logistics?

Logistics didn’t necessarily play a central role in my career plan, but when the opportunity to start as a Material Controller arose, I saw it as an exciting challenge. I’ve always wanted to develop professionally, and this was a perfect opportunity. Even though logistics wasn’t my original plan, I’ve truly found my place and seen the potential in the industry.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I hope my colleagues would describe me as someone who is quick to learn, responsible, and positive when it comes to solving the tasks we face. I strive to contribute to creating a good work environment where we can collaborate effectively and reach our goals as a strong team.

How has your role developed since you started?

I started from scratch in the transport and logistics industry, and it has been an exciting learning journey. With the support of my colleagues, I’ve built a deep understanding of both the industry and BHS Logistics as a company. I’m far from done learning, and every day brings new insights and opportunities.

What do you see as the biggest change in the industry in the coming years?

The green transition will undoubtedly be one of the biggest changes. In my role in Materials, it’s a challenge we need to prepare for, both in terms of technological solutions and new environmental requirements. At the same time, market competition will intensify, and as a result, the small details in everyday work will play a big role in distinguishing us. In both Materials and Control Tower, we are ensuring that we are prepared for the demands of the future.
