GERMAN ROAD TAX

The German government has adopted an increase in the road tax (MAUT) based on the EU directive regarding CO2 emissions on road transport. This is a significant increase and as a result, we are raising the transport prices for traffic going to/from or via Germany. The new road taxes are introduced in two ways:

  • 01/12-2023 Increase for commercial vehicles with a weight over 7,500 kg.
    01/06-2024 Further regulation of the toll. Commercial vehicles with a weight
    over 3,500 kg. is also covered.

    The changed toll is a legal intervention and we are unfortunately forced to pass on the increased costs to our customers.
