Halmstad - Grenaa
The closure of the Halmstad–Grenaa ferry route will have consequences for transport between Jutland and Sweden
Stena Line has announced that it will close the ferry route between Grenaa and Halmstad, with the last sailing on 30 April 2026.
The background to the decision can be read in Stena Line’s own announcement: “Stena Line to discontinue the Halmstad–Grenaa ferry route“.
This change will have direct consequences for the handling of transport between Jutland and Sweden, as a central transport corridor will disappear. At BHS Logistics, we are already analysing the available alternatives and recalculating routes, transit times and cost levels.
